Caption reads "Uncle Fred Mohr's home in Ottawa". The home was at 540 Acacia Avenue in Rockliffe Park. According to Daniel McLachlin of Texas, Dr. Mohr was a personal physician for Prime Minister Mackenzie King. Dr. Mohr was born at Mohr's Corners, in 1877, and received his early education at Arnprior. He studied at Queen's University and McGill University, where he graduated in medicine in 1905. He started his practice in Ottawa that same year and continued until his retirement in 1951.He was a member of the Masonic Club for 60 years; member of the Rideau Club; past president of both the Canadian Club and the University Club; member of the Royal Ottawa Golf Club and senior elder of Dominion Chalmers United Church. He passed away March 9 1963 and left substantial sums to Carleton University and McGill University for scholarships.
