The McLachlins were selling 2 rafts of white pine timber, the first of which was in Sillery Cove and was being sold at about 5 pence per foot with there being a total of about 850 pieces of wood. The second was sent to Quebec which contained about 1000 pieces and was being sold for about 4 pence 3 farthings per foot.
