History / Biography
Herb Giberson was born March 10, 1916 in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick. He was the son of Mrs. Nellie (Green) Giberson of Arnpior and Perley Giberson. He attended McGill university and served in WWII as a surgeon in the Canadian Army stationed overseas in England, North Africa, Italy and Holland. Dr. Giberson and his wife Flora moved to Arnprior in 1946 where he established a family practice. He was one of the original founders of the Arnprior Medical Centre in 1957. He enjoyed curling and golf and contributed to many community causes. He died January 31, 1984

Removed from Giberson house in May 2006 following the sale of property. Dr. Giberson's office was located at 145 Daniel Street, Arnprior.
Scope and Content
Fonds consists of records related to his involvement in the establishment and operation of the Arnprior Medical Centre (Daniel Street), the curling club, the Arnprior Golf Club in Sand Point etc.
