Donated to the Archives by Arthur McLean in 2003. The maps were in the basement of his law firm's building on John Street. Mr. McLean's father Alan McLean took over the law firm from Arthur Burwash who was the lawyer for McLachlin Bros.

Original plan shows layout of drainage course across Lots 13 & 14 Concession 4 McNab Township which were at the time owned by James Cameron and Angus Cameron. Location of swamp also noted.

Small, hand drawn map of area of Concessions 14 and 15, Lot 2 and 3, part of where Nopoming Game Preserve was established in the 1920's. Macnamara identified Goodwin's Bay, blazed tree, old house foundations (possibly Willis farm), Banning House, Robertson's gate, boom camp, wharf, William's Hill, no.3 mill, CNR Railway and Highway 17.

The Land Preservation Society of Ottawa Valley (formerly called the Save The Grove Committee) was incorporated September 1, 1991. This series of 6 maps were received by this archives in 2003. With the maps was a letter to the Town of Arnprior concerning the request for the official plan amendment, as well as a Spring 1992 newsletter.
Scope and Content
This is one of a series of 6 maps received and are said to be exact copies of what was sent to the Public Trustees Office. They were sent to the Town of Arnprior on February 8, 1991 by the English Oblates of Eastern Canada for an official plan amendment for a proposed subdivision.
This map shows the proposed subdivison development of the Grove within McNab Twp. The proposed streets and lots, as well as the protected environment area. It shows existing Gillies house and lot. There is a note saying the road allowance between lots 5 & 6, Conc. C was closed by by-law #8 of 1890.
There is a key plan insert showing the location within the town and township.
Glenn Doncaster, Reeve of Deep River presented this plan to the Town of Arnprior in December 2015. He acquired it from former Reeve Roselma Sinclair.

Plan of the East Half of Lot 3 Concession 13, Township of McNab; now part of the Havey Section of the Town of Arnprior in the County of Renfrew. Plan dated 19 November 1906 shows Flat Rapid Road, William St., Havey St., James St., Michael St., Robert St., Russell St. S., Thomas St. S.
Detailed description of the road from the County Line in the east to Waba in the west. Shows parts of the “Waba subdivision” ( Mary Street), Waba Creek. Very precise measurements around the Boys property in Waba (stone house).
