- The Land Preservation Society of Ottawa Valley (formerly called the Save The Grove Committee) was incorporated September 1, 1991. This series of 6 maps were received by this archives in 2003. With the maps was a letter to the Town of Arnprior concerning the request for the official plan amendment, as well as a Spring 1992 newsletter.
- Scope and Content
- This is one of a series of 6 maps received and are said to be exact copies of what was sent to the Public Trustees Office. They were sent to the Town of Arnprior on February 8, 1991 by the English Oblates of Eastern Canada for an official plan amendment for a proposed subdivision.
- This map shows the proposed subdivison development of the Grove within McNab Twp. The proposed streets and lots, as well as the protected environment area. It shows existing Gillies house and lot. There is a note saying the road allowance between lots 5 & 6, Conc. C was closed by by-law #8 of 1890.
