With the maps was a letter to the Town of Arnprior concerning the request for the official plan amendment, as well as a Spring 1992 newsletter.
Scope and Content
This is one of a series of 6 maps received and are said to be exact copies of what was sent to the Public Trustees Office. They were sent to the Town of Arnprior on February 8, 1991 by the English Oblates of Eastern Canada for an official plan amendment for a proposed subdivision.
This map shows the proposed subdivison development of the Grove within McNab Twp. The proposed streets and lots, as well as the protected environment area. It shows existing Gillies house and lot. There is a note saying the road allowance between lots 5 & 6, Conc. C was closed by by-law #8 of 1890.
There is a key plan insert showing the location within the town and township.
Drawn for the state of Andrew Dickson, the original proprietor, in Oct. 1874. Shows streets and lots, Brockville & Ottawa railway station grounds, Methodist Church, Presbyterian Church, two factories, sawmill, grist mill, tannery, & marble quarry.
