This image shows the Arnprior Lighthouse circa 1970's. Information on the back of the photo reads:
Navagation Light, Arnprior Island, Chats Lake. Latitude 45, 27, 21 North. Longitude 76, 21, 10 West
Originally established in 1885, operating by Kerosene and changed to automatic operation on acetylene gas sometime before 1959. In that year it was converted to battery operation (low voltage) and remained so until it was destroyed by fire April 25, 1973. The present light is also battery operated and fully automatic. It will probably be up-dated in 1975. Source not provided for this information.
