A continuing discussion on the parties interested in the islands on the Madawaska River, including a response to a telegram sent to Dawson in response to his last letter. The name of the interested party was Blasdell and Dawson discusses McLachlin's deeds, the river, and how the grant was described and what was included in it.
Donated to the Archives by Arthur McLean in 2003. The maps were in the basement of his law firm's building on John Street. Mr. McLean's father Alan McLean took over the law firm from Arthur Burwash who was the lawyer for McLachlin Bros.
