Custodial History
Glenn Doncaster, Reeve of Deep River presented this plan to the Town of Arnprior in December 2015. He acquired it from former Reeve Roselma Sinclair.
Scope and Content
A certified true copy of plan by W. J. MacDonald Public Land Surveyor copied in 1871. Plan comprised of the North halves of Lots, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the 13th Concession and 14th Concession and Parts of Lots 4, 5 in the 15th Concession. Damaged portions on the original are noted as "Damaged" on this copy. Plan shows the waterfront area including a steam boat wharf, the cemetery and residence of D. McLachlin esquire, MP. The plan also shows the location of a railway spur on McLachlin's mill property which extends over the bridge, along Madawaska Street to the main railway line of the Brockville and Ottawa just west of Hugh Street.
