Scope and Content
The White Lake Post Office was located in the Sterling home on the main street of White Lake. M. J. Yuill opened the ledger on March 8th 1904. Registered mail was entered in the ledger which shows date mailed, name of sender, person and address of letter, date when dispatched and office to which it was sent and initials of postmaster. The initials change from M.J.Y. to C.M. and others towards the end of the register.
