History / Biography
Lorne Sutherland Women's Institute was named after Lorne Sutherland who was killed in WWI in February 1918. March 19 1919 was the date of Organization listed in the front of the Minutes of 1919-1926.

Deposited in 2007 and August 2012 by Joyce Headrick, secretary of the Lorne Sutherland WI and Berna McClure. In August of 2019, Tweedsmuir History Book 5 was donated by Terry MacHardy.
Scope and Content
Fonds consists of four Tweedsmuir Histories of the Lorne Sutherland Women's Institute as well as Institute Minutes from 1919-1996 (with gap between 1926-1929).
