History / Biography
Ben Frieday was born in 1916. He lived at #146 Russel St. (formerly Jesse St.) all his life. The house according to Ben's son Greg, predates 1854. Ben was the youngest of many children. He married Dora Buder who was also the youngest in her family. He served overseas in the medical corps during WWII and returned to Arnprior in 1945. He worked for the Public Booth Company in Arnprior for many years. David Finnie leased a cottage to Ben Frieday for 40 years at Marshall's Bay. They were good friends of the Macnamara family. Ben Frieday died June 1, 2005.
