History / Biography
Cleo Evans is the grandaughter of Thomas F. Duncan and Pearl Duncan (nee Jack). Mrs. Duncan was from the Forrester's Falls area. Thomas Duncan was an employee of Gillies Bros. in Braeside. They lived on Gillies Street and attended the Braeside United Church.
Cleo Evans photographs were donated in 2013. File of receipts and correspondence transferred from Arnprior Museum in Nov 2016 (not accessioned). Duncan family photographs donated in Nov 2017. Others were scanned and returned to donor so a mix of originals and digital records exists. In October 2018, Cleo Evans donated a newspaper clipping of a photo of employees at Gillies' Mill with an attached identification list. In 2022 an accrual of 19 photographs and a file of textual material was donated.
