C. F. Sinn (b. May 12 1840 d. April 27 1914) came from Limerick Ireland possibly in the 1890's or earlier. He worked for the Grand Trunk Railway and is buried in the Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior. His son William was married twice; Catherine Emily Orem and Mary Anna Mulcahy. William's son, George Nelson Sinn served in WWII and moved to Ottawa in the 1950's to work in the Civil Service. George Sinn and Roseabelle Normand had eight children including Michael Sinn.

This small fonds consists of 6 items:
1. Photograph of Nepoleon Frappier holding grandchild (Micheal Sinn's maternal great grandfather)
2. Framed circa 1930's photograph of Chapleau riverdrive crew which includes George N. Sinn (father of donor) front row, first on left. Photograph by G. W. Visser, Chapleau
3 & 4. Two photographs of early homes in Arnprior (located just west of Division street on Seymour Street). One shows woman at gate; the other shows two young children on front steps. Unidentified. Circa late 1890's.
5. Studio portrait of young couple circa 1906 Aime Normand (b. 1888) and his wife Alma Frappier (b. 1889). Parents of Rose Sinn (b. 1907)
6. RCR Battalion of Thomas D. Sinn in Rivers Manitoba taken upon completion of paratroopers course. Thomas Sinn was killed shortly after this photo was taken at the age of 22.
