Jo-Anne Matthie found these photographs in the basement of the house in which she lived on the Dickson Road, McNab Township previously owned by the Dickson family. Thomas and Janet Dickson's daughter Jessie married John Quait and moved out west but she returned to Dickson Road to raise her daughters after her husband died.
Scope and Content
This small fonds consists of three photographs that belonged to the Quait family.
Two photographs were taken by Handford Studio of Renfrew showing lumbering activity - presumably taken on or near the property on Dickson Road, McNab Township. A large, stationary, circular saw is seen in one photo while a steam engine to run the blade is in the other.
The third photograph shows an unidentified man working on a wooden drawer with a hand tool.
