A letter informing McLachlin of the timber measurements done up to that date while acknowledging that some workers ended up behind but that they should be caught up soon. It also discusses other business matters, including hiring men, which involved a Roderick O'Grady who was supposedly hired by McLachlin though there was no work to do when he showed up. The letter goes on to discuss visits from other people and the Council Meeting.
