- This letter addresses the destruction of the bridge on Addington Road and how it was deemed a felony, with arrest warrants being issued for John Hudson, Hugh McLachlin, and someone else. While Hudson submitted upon arrest, Hugh McLachlin escaped and was thus charged a second time, with this letter from Johnston urging Daniel McLachlin to advise his nephew to turn himself in as he was now considered an escaped felon.
