The house at 22 Church Street was built by Oliver Murphy. Oliver Murphy (born May 30, 1886 and died August 16, 1941) served at various times as a member of Arnprior’s municipal council and as Reeve of the Town. He also served in the following capacities: Chairman of the Separate School Board, Secretary-Treasurer of the local Conservative Association, Grand Knight of the local Council of the Knights of Columbus, Chairman of the Property Committee of the Board of Education, Chairman of the local Cemetery Committee and member of the St. John Chrysostom Church. The house is located on parts of lots 19 and 20, Albert Street, plan 33 and 75, of the Town of Arnprior and of wood frame construction.

Scope and Content
Donation consists of a property description, a surveyor’s certificate (surveyed by Gibson, Sury and Rowe Ltd.), and a record of search. One photo is of the house with the daughter, Eunice Murphy Ramsay, standing in front and the second photo is of Oliver Murphy’s sister as a bride with the Separate School (across John Street from St. Joseph’s) in the background.
