A by-law for the preservation of Public Morals within the Village of Arnprior, making it unlawful to perform any of the following behaviours on Sundays; to buy or sell goods, real estate and personal property, to perform worldly labour or business, to play any noise game such as Marbles, Skittles, or Ball, gamble with dice, to run races (on foot, horseback, or in carriages or other vehicles), or dance to or play profane music, to fish, hunt, or shoot in quest to take, kill, or destroy deer and other game or carry around the equipment for it, to sell or give intoxicating drinks of any sort to anyone, to say anything profane, indecent, grossly insulting, or blasphemous in public or write any indecent words or create indecent drawings or pictures in public, to be drunk or guilty of drunkenness or disorderly behaviour in public, to disturb or annoy any meeting held for worship, improvement or entertainment, to bathe or expose one’s own person by washing in any water in the Village near a public highway or dwelling place between 6 in the morning and 9 in the evening, to let stud horses catch mares, for any person to expose themselves in public or be guilty of any immoral, indecent, or scandalous behavior in public.
