2. Booklet (essay) called “History of Our School” by Margaret Stewart, 1925. Photo of school pasted to the cover. “Union school” built in 1874 in Pakenham Township. Site purchased for one dollar from Mr. J. Campbell. Not the first school in this section (first was “Ellis School” after a Mr. Ellis who had owned the land. School was also called Cedar Hedge School (after a cedar hedge was planted).
