These plans were rolled and some are creased. They were stored outside for several years.
Acquisition Source
Donated by Keith Burns of Braeside in December 2012.
Scope and Content
Series consists of an incomplete numbered set of Blueprints produced by H. E. Boray Jr. Consulting Engineers for Gillies Bros. for their modernization project in August of 1958. 40 of the plans are final drawings while the rest are marked Void. They consist of structural, site, foundations, operational layouts, floor plans, fire protection, electrical, and elevation drawings.
From this series, researchers can determine how old buildings were removed and replaced with new structures including dry kilns, sorting and shipping building and a green storage shed. The series also includes a Construction Schedule and Isometric view of the Braeside plant.
Notes
Scale varies according to plan. Void plans were kept where no final plan exists.
