1. Clipping from Chronicle, Feb. 7, 2001, article by Peter DeWolf: “Town’s former police chief is laid to rest”. William Parsons (Bill Parsons) died on Jan. 28, 2001, at the age of 88. He served as police chief from 1957 to 1978. Born in England, he served with the British military in WW II, and in Asia after the war before emigrating to Canada.
